bust or bust!

* (sigh) for so long i have been thirsty for a magazine that could quench all my hip-girl needs: a couple drops from Jane here, a sprinkle of Glamour there, a squeeze of Bitch on top... but still no one magazine had it all. i bought my first issue of Bust only last month, but i'm pretty sure i've reread it a bajillion times... yep, the count is at one bajillion.

how can you not love a magazine that puts Amy Sedaris jumping out of a cake on the cover? that features lesser-knowns but way fabulous heros like standup comic Maria Bamford and poker dominatrix Annette_15? that rocks out their music pages with 15 spot-on reviews? that's tapped into the DIY-ers of my generation with tons of great resources for fabric arts, crafts, recipes and fashion? i devoured this month's issue in what felt like 3 seconds, but was maybe closer to an hour. like a good book that you just don't wanna quit, Bust keeps me pining for more. anyway, i could go on and on - but really, you should just pick up a copy, cuz it is downright scrumptious.

* well, i sold my car yesterday to a nice couple that will take good care of her. twas a bittersweet day, indeed. this was the first car i shopped for on my own (sniffle sniffle). buddha speed, my mitsubishi galant, buddha speed.

* i bought a little pack of markers last week, and i gotsta say, sometimes markers just hit the spot. coloring makes me feel like i'm five again.
