deergirl strikes again

* she's been resurrected! i drew her back in 06 or something. there is a huge population of deergirls out there on the interwebs. but strangely enough, people always stick antlers on the poor females. kinda reminds me of those poor male cows in nickelodeon's "barnyard." at any rate, my deergirl keeps it real. :)

* i could have kept going with the food theme cuz it seems about 93% of my drawings are about food, but i'll take a break from consumption and post this little guy i found in one of my older sketchbooks from spring 2006. i like how the drawings from the back side of the page peek through, and i like the thoughtlessness of it. it's a nice reminder to let drawings happen, rather than trying to reign over them.

* I've had quite a busy week and a half: a trip to Chicago, my little sister's wedding, packing, moving, and the final day at my job in Cedar Rapids! So that's my excuse for the lack of posts. I'm going to try to make up for it here with a batch of ink on linen drawings I found while packing. I drew these awhile back for my illustrated novella (someday I will decide on a style for the illustrations!). I really love happening upon older drawings - there's something so fun about revisiting them. I think I appreciate them more now than I did when I first drew them.
