Ha! That happens to me too! It tends to make me happy, though.

hi jenny!
actually, sometimes the stares make me happy too - i guess it depends on what kind of mood i'm in - whether i feel self-conscious! thanks for reading my blog, and commenting too... yay for halfies!

weird!
i thought i was the only one who felt that way! only for me it's black-white couples, where the girl is black and the guy white (ok, i know that's a bit of a stretch).

i feel like they KNOW.
it's a secret language;)

It's totally a secret language!

Hil, it's gotta feel strangely awesome that our Prez is a halfie like you! Does is it even feel real?

it's pretty cool!

now if only the rest of the general population can figure out what bi-racial or multi-ethnic means. i'm not black because i'm 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 black! and i'm not white because i have a white parent.
i'm both and i'm neither!

...getting off my soapbox now:)

i love your soap box! i'm up there with ya! i was just watching "curb your enthusiasm" tonight, and there was a character of the halfie-persuasion, such as yourself, and she said it best - something like, "eventually everyone's going to start effing each other and we won't have to worry about all these labels!" cheers to getting busy! :)
